About me…

After completing a BTEC in Media Studies between 2008 and 2010, I attended the University of Central Lancashire, where I studied Sports Journalism and gained a 2:1.

During this time, I had begun to foster contacts within the motorsport sector, which opened doors in BTCC, Formula E and Formula 1.

With writing failing to meet the required income level, I simultaneously worked a series of ‘normal’ jobs while pursuing my desired career, meaning that early morning shifts at Asda were followed by late-night efforts with Autoweek US for three years.

In January 2020, I was hired by GPFans in a position that finally allowed me to go all in. Across a three-year period, I worked as part of a three-person team to build the site into a respected and credible outlet with a constant presence in the F1 paddock.

But time does not stand still, and I began the search for a new challenge ahead of the 2023 season. Landing at the Motorsport Network, via a brief freelancing stint with Speedcafe, I covered British GT in my first year while also assuming responsibility for the ‘Finishing Straight’ section of Autosport’s print edition.

The 2024 campaign saw me switch focus to Formula 2/Formula 3, where I built relationships with teams, drivers and press officers and promoted the championship with regular race coverage, podcast interviews and feature articles. This was all achieved while still juggling the weekly product/experience reviews and TV listings that made up the ‘Finishing Straight’.
